Dear Partners – Be Counted!

Did you know that the census is used to calculate how much emergency response funding gets to your hometown? 

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now more than ever important that everyone takes the time to BE COUNTED. The count has many important uses, including determining how much federal stimulus and emergency funding is provided to your City. Follow the steps below and help make sure your hometown gets its fair share of funding.

Participating is quick and easy. The 2020 Census questions take about 10 minutes to complete. It's safe, secure, and confidential. Your information is protected by law. Citizens and non-citizens alike need to be counted. Together we’ll make a difference.


Getting started:

  • Report online at: my2020census.gov

  • Complete your online questionnaire once you begin. If you leave and return later, you will have to start over.

  • Do not use the web browser buttons (back, forward, or close browser). Use the buttons within the questionnaire to navigate.

  • For best results, use the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. Enable cookies.

  • You can also report by phone at 1-844-330-2020.

  • The questionnaire is available in multiple languages online and by phone.
     

Tips: 

  • A census ID is not needed to complete the census online. On the log in page click on the link at the bottom that says, If you do not have a Census ID, click here.

  • If you are homeless or in transition between homes, you can complete the survey without providing an address. List your city and state.

  • If the question asking if you are male/female does not capture your sexual identity correctly, you can skip it and still complete the survey.
